New France extended down to Ticonderoga (Alainville) after the battle of Carillon/Ticonderoga in 1759, the area came under the control of the British, as did the rest of New France. Part of that land is now in New York, part is now in Vermont, and the rest is now called Canada.. So yes, Lewis and Porters Mills/Port Henry was once part of something that is today called Canada.
