Hello! While researching Civil War veterans buried in Pittsford, NY, I found Christopher Arell. He was born c August 1842 in Canada. Christopher's wife was Margaret LaBrake, born c 1847. They had 10 children together and lived for many years in Fort Covington and Malone, NY. One of his daughters was Elizabeth who was married to DC Guyett and who died in Charlotte, NC.
Christopher served in Co. H of the 98th NY Infantry during the Civil War. He was mustered out in 1865. I've found him in the 1890 Veterans Schedule, the American Civil War Soldiers database and his pension. Also found him in census records from 1870-1910.
I'm very interested to know how he ended up in Pittsford, NY - Monroe County. If anyone has any info about Christopher, I'd love to hear from them. Thanks!
