If I might piggy-back on your topic, its name appears to have evolved since its establishment. As I have found in some of my own research, it was initially refered to as "The Greenwood Cemetery" or just "Greenwood Cemetery" (no hyphen) some time into the 20th century. Here, for example, is a 1902 public notice from the New York State legislature referring to it as "The Greenwood Cemetery"...
