I'm looking any information on the family of my grandfather Joseph G. Fuchs (The funny thing is that on his marriage certificate, it says "Herman Fuchs") born in Brooklyn, NY, Septempber 8, 1897. He served in the Army in WW1 and ended up in a VA hospital with a permanent mental disability in the 1920's. He had married my grandmother Marie Hlista in Baltimore Maryland on September 20, 1917 when stationed at Fort Mead Maryland prior to shipping overseas. He served with a medical unit in France. His unit was the 313th Field Hospital, 304th Sanitary Train of the 79th Division. There was a falling out between his family and my grandmother in the 1920's because she moved him from the VA hospital in NY where his family lived to the VA hopsital in Perryville Maryland near Baltimore where her family lived. There was little or no contact in the years to come. What little I know is that he was employeed as a bricklayer before and after the war and that he had at least two brothers one of which was named George. He had a daughter, Diana (my mother) and a son Richard. I would welcome any information that might shed some light on my missing family members from NY. Thank you.
