Searching www.fultonhistory.com for the exact phrase brings up several Augustus Shaw's of Rochester.

The 1892 city directory says: Augustus Shaw, died June 7 1892, age 42.

In the 1893 street directory, Mrs. Elizabeth lives at the 12 Norwood St. that Augustus had lived at.

In the 1900 census, a widowed Elizabeth Shaw, born Sept 1855, mother of 3, 3 alive lives with:
William, son Nov 1886
Lettie, daughter, June 1889
and Hazel (son? that's what it says!), born July 1892.

We also have a card that reads Augustus Shaw, died, appears in the Union and Advertiser newspaper, June 9, 1892, pgae 5 column 4. (age 42).

The 1910 census has:
