RD - 1900 US Census Rochester Monroe Cty shows George A Gardner born Sept 1844(He reported he was a bridge builder) his wife Jennie reported she was born Dec 1835 - no dau named Ida Flora at that address which would indicate that Ida Flora was already married (in 1892) & not living at home - - in the 1880 US Census George (age 35) & Jennie(age 45) were farming at Parma (Monroe Cty) NY & they reported children "Elida"(Ida Flora?) age 7 (that corresponds to her age at her 1892 date of marriage) & Albert age 4 also at that home - - -now for a mystery: US Census 1900 for Rochester we find William R Drake who reported he was born June 1870(but marriage cert says he was 20 in 1892) he also reported he was a cloth trimmer in a wollen mill but the column where his marriage status shows there is an "M" with a line thru it & no report of a wife - did Ida Flora(Elida) die around that time? or were they divorced? - 1910 US Census shows William Drake age 37 reporting he is in his 2nd marriage to Ada M.(age 30) having been married 3 yrs & having (1) child infant Alicia -he is now a cloth inspector in a woolen mill & living in Webster - a check of Roch Pub Lib Hist Marriage records shows the 10/25/1906 marriage of William R Drake, b. Ohio, age 34, son of Jacob & Leraine Sherman Drake to Ada Brundege, 34, a resident of Rochester & the dau of Lafayette & Alice Carey Brundedge (page 217 of roll #3) - all names & dates seem to tie in but what happened to Ida Flora & how & where did Raymond (b.1894) grow up - maybe this "paper trail" is not the correct path - maybe, just maybe it can help though, Resp GJM
