I believe Roswell Bush was an 1812 veteran. His widow Ellen applied for and was granted a pension in JAN 1878. The top of the gov't form has "1812" handwritten.

There is a Roswell Bush on Rootsweb who is the right age but shows wife Ann Canfield. Of interest, Roswell Bush in 1870 boarding at 74 East Avenue, Rochester with a Sarah Canfield also listed at that address. No Ellen is listed.

I am seeking information on Ellen. Any leads or direction is appreciated.
