There are digitized maps on the Rochester Library's web site, but none for 1850. And Rochester does not have a directory for 1850, just 1849 and 1851. Those are available for free at: [http://www3.libraryweb.org/lh.aspx?id=1095] and show that North Union is in Ward 6, and South Union is in Ward 7 in 1851. They change by 1855! If you are looking for the 1855 census, it is online and searchable for free at https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1937366, as well as A-McN online at the Rochester Library's web site: http://www3.libraryweb.org/lh.aspx?id=470901
