Smith Family of Rockville Centre/Freeport mid 1700's to early 1800's

I'm looking for any information on my line of the Smith family of Rockville Centre/Oceanside in old Queens county.

I recently was able to trace my Smith line back two more generations and the line remains in Hempstead back to the mid 1700's.

I am looking for information on:

Nathaniel Smith b. 1802 in Rockville Centre. Nathaniel married Mary Baldwin. Nathaniel died in 1896.

Nathaniel's parents were William and Hannah Smith both of Hempstead. I do not have anymore info. on William and Hannah Smith.

William's parents were Nathaniel and Phebe Smith, both of New York (I'm sure Hempstead). I find a possible match for a marriage between "Nathaniel Smith Rock" and "Phebe Beagle" (Bedell) - marriage license issued by NY State on March 5, 1777. There is a Phebe Smith, 'wife of Nathaniel' buried in the Old Town Cemetery (Hempstead) b. May 26, 1757 d. Aug. 14, 1852. I don't find Nathaniel in the burial records.

The dates do fit for this and the "Rock" Smith's were the prominent Smith family of the South Hempstead family, so they may be from my line, but I haven't connected all the dots yet.

I've researched all my on-line resources for the Smith Family of South Hempstead and find no mention of these specific folks.

Anyone recognize this line?
