Louise Ormsbee McKee of Hiawassee, GA died on December 17, 1999.
Louise was born in New York City, but was raised in the western states of Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. She worked for Eastern Airlines in Washington, D.C. where she met her husband, Mac. They made their home in Atlanta, GA and Miami, Fl, until retirement in 1975 when they moved to Alamogordo, NM. They moved to Hiawassee in 1998. Louise will be remembered as a caring Christian woman, devoted to her church, family and friends. She was also a gourmet cook and delighted so many with her fine entertaining.
Her husband, Leland "Mac" preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter, Maggie Carnes and son-in-law Julian Carnes of Hiawassee, GA; brother, Allen Ormsbee and his wife Gerry of Daytona Beach, FL; a nephew, Gardner Greene Courson and his wife Haidee of Atlanta, GA and a step-grandson, John V. Carnes and his wife Holly and step-great grandson, Samuel L. Carnes of Missoula, MT.
A memorial service was held on December 21,1999 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Hayesville, NC. There Will also be a memorial service in Alamodordo, NM at St. John's Episcopal in January, date to be announced.
