Hello,

My 4th great grandmother, Agnes Houseman, is listed in an 1863 Letters of Administration record along with her husband Peter Houseman.

The document states that Peter is a resident of Bergen County, New Jersey at the time he signed this document on 23 Dec 1863.

I have some questions...

Is the date that he signed this synonymous with Agnes' death date? I imagine it's not, but is it likely that she died within that month at least?

Also, if some would kindly look at the record and interpret it for me -- Is the document saying that she died in New York or that she died elsewhere (perhaps Bergen County) but still had assets in New York?
