My ggggrandfather is William H. Easton who wife's name was Mary. They lived in Elmira NY. They had four sons: Albert, James, William and George as listed in the 1860 census. His son, James David was Elmira City Physician for many years 1880-1890's. William H. was born in 1819 but I do not know his birthplace. I have heard that our family came from Seneca Falls, NY but have not been able to document this. I have not been able to go back any farther in my search than William H.
My line is from Albert J. I have a death notice from the Elmira Daily Advertiser dated 8/21/1866 that lists him as a former engineer for The Elmira Water Works Company. He died in Oil City where he was employed in a similar position. His body was returned to Elmira for burial. Mary is also buried in Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery. My family is also from Elmira.
