Dear Lorena I love researching too.
What I hope is that Oneida County has some naturalization applications. My great grandfather was Thomas Emerson, he married Ellen Nunan whose family lived in Annsville. He was in business in NYC but was in Annsville for the birth of their first daughter 1838. He may have filled out an app then
as he had been in the US for over two years. Generally I do not need other info about them as I have visited there and seen grave sites etc.
