Altmanns, 50 Years Married, Observe Event
Family Party Takes Place in Home of East Division Street.
Mr. and Mrs. Anton V. Altmann were married 50 years ago yesterday and had a family party last night at their home at 309 East Division street in commemoration of the anniversary event. They will continue the celebration next year with a trip to Germany where Mr. Altmann was born.
Mr. Altmann has been a resident of Syracuse for 52 years. He was police commissioner from 1886 to 1890 under Mayor Willis Burns. Mrs. Altman’s father was Martin Nutz, one of the pioneer business men of the North Side.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Altmann, Mr. and Mrs. Anton V. Altmann, jr., William Altmann, Miss Wilhelmina Altmann, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Brer[?]n, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Group, jr., and Miss Naomi Group were guests at the jubilee gathering last night.
