Classification: Query
Surnames: Koeberlein, Schmahlholz
I really don't know if I am related to them. We found the picture (which I have since discovered was in the Rochester Union and Advertiser, not in a Syracuse paper, like I previously thought), in some of my mother's papers, and I thought that I had heard that they were cousins of hers. Now I am beginning to wonder if they were just neighbors. My mother lived on Clinton Avenue, near Borchard, and attended St. Michael's Church.

My mother's name was Estelle Koeberlein (Koberline). Her father was Louis, who came over from Heustreu, Bavaria around 1873 with his parents who settled in Syracuse, and he came to Rochester, where he married Mary Schmahlholz.

I have looked at their families, and haven't found any of the names that were listed in the accident.

Do you live in Rochester. Do any of my family's names sound familiar. Noreen
