I have a picture from a Syracuse newspaper dated September 10, 1917. I can only see part of the newspaper name - "on and Advertiser".
I remember my mother saying that the picture was of some of her Syracuse cousins. She had relatives by the name of Koeberlein (Koberline) living in Syracuse. The headline above the picture says "Geisler Family, Six Members of Which Were Killed in Automobile Accident". The names of the people in the picture are Mrs. George Heidt (killed); Mrs. Anthony Specksgoor; Louis Geisler; Sister Amaden; Teresa Geisler (killed); Joseph Geisler (killed); Vera Geisler; Edmond Geisler (killed); Joseph Geisler, Jr. (died in hospital); Lillian Geisler; and Mrs. Joseph Geisler (killed).
I would like to find out more about this family, and how they were related to my mother's family in Rochester. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has any knowledge of these people. Thanks. Noreen Rose
