typing in "juvenile home" and limiting search to 1930 - 1950, i found:12/14/1943: Syracuse, Rochester, and Auburn police are seeking three youngsters who broke out of the Juvenile Home on Teall Avenue In their pajamas, stole an automobile,
abandoned It in Auburn, where they broke into a night club and stole another car for their "getaway." The oldest of the trio Is 15. He was accompanied by two 12-yearold boys. They broke out of the detention home about 8 o'clock last
night and stole a sedan from in front of 205 Vine Street. The car belonged to Charles Plummer of Tully. Auburn police reported today the trio entered the "Colored Club" in
that city and also stole another from a nearby street.

Mrs. Mary Reiley, 135 Hampton Road, was appointed matron of the Juvenile Detention Home today by Justice Leo J. Yehle, the appointment to take effect on July 1. Mrs. Reiley succeeds Miss Leonora Estes who submitted her ' resignation to Justice Yehle last week, Miss Estes former head of the city hospital In Teall Avenue was oppointed matron of the juvenile home when it was moved to the site of the former hospital. The duties of the matron is to take care of juvenile girls confined in the home.
