The 1899 book "A History and Genealogy of a Branch of the Kinne Family" by Emerson Kinne documents nearly all of the accurate information in this thread.

Cyrus Kinne, Sr., Esq. was born 12 Aug 1746 in Voluntown, New London, Connecticut and died 08 Aug 1808 in Manlius, Onondaga, New York. He married in 1768 in Voluntown his wife Comfort Palmer, born 05 May 1751 and died 25 Dec 1812 in Manlius, Onondaga, New York. Both are buried in De Witt Cemetery, Onondaga County, New York.

The couple had twelve children that lived to adulthood. Some of the dates I will list here are claimed in concrete elsewhere, but do not line up with the established order of the birth of these children. Consequently, there may either be a discrepancy with the gravestones, or with the published record.

Ezra Kinne, b. ca. 1771
Zachariah Kinne, b. 24 Feb 1772
Prentice Kinne, b. 16 Oct 1773
Ethal (Ethel) Kinne, my 6th gr-grandfather, b. 03 Apr 1775
Moses Kinne, Sr., b. 12 Jan 1780
Zebulon Kinne, b. 12 Jan 1780 (Twins with Moses)
Rachel Kinne, b. 1781
Joshua Kinne, b. 31 Aug 1782
Cyrus Kinne, Jr., b. ca. 1783
Japheth Kinne, b. ca. 1784
Comfort Kinne, b. 1786
Palmer Kinne, b. 07 Jan 1790

Ethal Sr's parents are definitively Cyrus and Comfort Kinne. Ethal Sr. married Betsey Eaton, and together had six children of which I am aware:

Parsons Kinne, b. 19 Sep 1797
Palmer Kinne, b. ca. 1798
Ethel P. Kinne, Jr., b. 1799
Jackson Kinne, b. ca. 1800
Abulah B. Kinne, b. 18 Jul 1805
Henry "Harry" Kinne, b. 1808

I am descended from Henry "Harry" Kinne and his wife Susan Waite through their fourth child, Ellen "Ella" Kinne, b. Dec 1843. Ellen married Captain George W. Heagle, Sr. of Brewerton, who together had Captain Charles H. "Charley Barley" Heagle, who followed in his father's footsteps as a barge canal packet boat captain.

I'm happy to provide any additional information I have. has many of the burials recorded, though again, some of the claims of parentage are dubious in the notes attached to some of those memorials.
