Levi Rowley 1775-1839
In researching a dead end in my family tree (Levi Rowley 1816-1880, born in Candandaigua according to his obit) when I stumbled across records of this older Levi Rowley. The similarity of names, along with their similar location and age difference, of course made me wonder if there was some relation between them.
Here is what I know (and guess) about this Levi Rowley:
Buried at Pine Banks Cemetery in Cheshire next to his wife Rachel, but with no other relatives I can discern.
He appears on a variety of early censuses, 1810-1830.
He is mentioned in "A History of Ontario County" as an early settler in the Canandaigua area.
Has anyone any information on the parents, children, or history of this Levi Rowley? I'm interested.
-Bill
