Looking for information on the Alexander CHUBB family of Ontario County, New York. My info on Alexander is sketchy. IN a DAR Index I found "CHUBB: Alexander, b 6-1-1761 CT; d. 1812 NY m Mindwell WHEELER, Pvt CT"

I have found Alexander in the 1810 New York, Ontario Co. census as well as the 1820, New York, Ontario census (also listed in Ontario are Joseph and Stephen)

Alexander was also on a list burial places in Ontario County of Revolutaionary Patriots: "Chubb, Alexander, 1761-1824, Pioneer Cemetery, Town of Pittsford (Monroe Co.)" Does the (Monroe Co.) mean that Pittsford is now in Monroe County?
