Looking for parents of Sarah E. Brooks, born in 29 Jan 1838 in NJ, lived most of her adult life in Goshen, Orange Co, NY. Married William Burd who was born in 1836/7 in Sparta, Sussex Co, NJ. Not sure if the 1860 Census for Minisink, NY- listing a Sarah Brooks, 22 yrs old- Domestic, is the correct one. She died tragically in 1892 from a gunshot wound.
