I am looking for a PARKER researcher who has knowledge of a PARKER family that had a son Hiram C. PARKER b. abt 1813 NY. Possibly Erie or Orleans counties) married to Belinda STEPHENS b. abt 1819 NY. They were living in Fulton County Ohio at the time of the 1860 census (pg 529 Dwelling # 487 , Family # 490) and were shown with the following children in the house :
1. Diantha J. 19 b. Oh
2. Lucinda 17 b. Oh
3. Suzy ? 15 b. Oh
4. Ocey 15 b. Oh
5. George 8/12 b. Oh.
I know that Lucinda, on June 6th or 7th 1860 in Fulton Co. Oh., married a man named Pope GORDON. Lucinda died 22 Nov 1863 in Scioto Co. Oh. Pope GORDON married Lucinda's sister Ocey PARKER on Oct 3,1865.
Hiram and Belinda were in Rice county Minnesota at the time of the 1880 census. (page 15 family and dwelling # 128) George b. 1860 Oh. and wife Katherine (DILLEY) b. 1862 Mn. were in the house at that time. I have information to share on George's descendants but need anything I can get on the rest of this family. I believe Belinda's mother and father are Sylvanus STEPHENS and Ocey STEPHENS who lived next door to the Parkers in Fulton County Ohio at the time of the 1860 census and were next door in the 1880 Rice County Mn. census too.
If anyone sees a possible connection, please let me hear from you.
Thank you,
Gary Poole
