Hello Linda-I'm afraid that I don't have too much on the SWEET's. I suspected that Drucilla was b bet 1780-1790, and the FamilySearch shows a post that she was b 1785 Galway Saratoga County NY. She was dau of Thomas SWEET and Eliza---. Her siblings were Stephen b 1791, Caleb b 1793, Renewed, Catherine b 1800, all b in Galway Saratoga County NY. She m James ACKERMAN 1806, and since their first child was b 1807 (James or Thomas) in Galway as were Louise 1808, and Elizabeth 1810,I suspect they were m in Galway as well. But no proof. James ACKERMAN joined the army for the War of 1812. James and family were in LeRay twp Jefferson County NY in 1820,and in 1830. James and his wife are in Sackets Harbor Jefferson County NY in 1840, and James is living with a dau Elizabeth in Oswego in 1850. Apparently Drucilla had died. As always, there is a problem, in that, buried with Jas ACKERMAN is his wife Sarah, and I don't know who she was. Maybe Sarah Drucilla, or Drucilla Sarah, or possibly a second wife.
In 1800 there is a Thomas SWEET (26-45)and a family which fits the ages for the chldren in Galway Saratoga County. Next door is a Caleb SWEET (>45), possibly his father? That's about as far as I've been able to find them. Hope this is of some help. Please keep me in mind if you find any more info on the early SWEETS. Phil Perkins
