Robert E Burns was born in Oswego NY on April 6 1845 but in an affidavit related to receiving his Civil War disability pension, he stated that he was unable to find any record of his birth. We are trying to find the names of his parents. They were from Scotland and belonged to the Presby. Church there, but he claims had no church affiliation in the US. If anyone has ideas about how we can proceed, please let us know.
