Surnames: Head, Heady, Hedden, Dingee, Rhoads
My Head family of Carmel, Putnam County was supposedly Native American also. Samuel and his alleged brother Hosea Head show up in 1840 in the census in Carmel in their 40s, but supposedly they were born in the area. Have never been able to prove the Native American legend. Have tracked many descendants, and most state that they know they are of Native American descent.
