Is there a record in a Rensselaer County, Catholic Church for a marriage between Michael Quinlan [1824,Tipperary, Ireland-1904, Missouri] and Rosa McConnell [1831, Meath, Ireland-1901, Missouri]. The marriage would have taken place between September 1850 and July 1853, probably around Pittstown, as that is where Michael was listed in the 1850 census.
I may have this Michael Quinlan listed in the 1850 census for Rensselaer as unmarried. The couple was listed in Newburgh, Orange County New York state census in 1855. His surname may be spelled Quinland on the marriage record, as it was in the 1855 Orange County, census. McConnell is spelled differently on every document I have for the family.
Their oldest son, James Ambrose Quinlan may also have been baptized in Rensselaer County, even though his 1916 Missouri death certificate says he was born in Newburgh, Orange County. No baptism record was found for him in Newburgh.
They left New York for Hannibal, Missouri, before the 1860 federal census. Michael died in 1904 and Rosa died in 1901, near Mexico, Audrain County, Missouri.
