Surnames: See, Johnston, Titus, Brannigan, Biagiotti, Montesi, McCabe
sometimes you have to change your search approach. on this site, I found your ancestor using only last name Bevan and birth year searching all states. The 1880 census shows him in wilmington Delaware with wife and child. birthplace shows NJ. so maybe they moved to Haverstraw after the birth, or the mother went to NJ for the birth to be with family etc. anyway check it out.
