Mrs Joe, My father just passed away last week and I am back doing my genealogy. His name was John Houghton Howarth. I have very little on his father's side of the family. On his mother's side I traced it all the way back to Peregrine White, first child born of the Mayflower after it arrived in America. Anyway, his father's name was James Henry Howarth born 9/18/1852 in NY (don't know where). His father was James Henry Sr. born 1852, NY, died Utica, Onieda County, 1881, His father was Henry Howarth born 1820 in England. Also my father's mother was Luella Houghton born July 4, 1883 in Alexandria. Her father was ALbertt D. Houghton born 8/28/1862 in NY. His father was Joseph P. Houghton born 1/24/1820 in Fairlee, VT. Joseph's father was Rosell H. Houghton, born 9/14/1785 in Vermont and is buried on Walton Street,(?), Jefferson Coutny, NY. Roswell father's was Samuel Houghton, born 9/1759 in Leominster, VT. I do have deaths, wives and other dates, and info but wouldlove to know more about the people themselves. I would appreciate any info I you could give me. Thank-you so much. Love, Phyllis Howarth McKay, in sunny southern Maryland
