Still Researching James Merrill supposedly born in St-Lawrence County, NY abt 1810-1815. Civil War Discharge Cert. from Ohio 11th Infantry lists this county as his birth. -- possibly related into the Joseph Merrill Family, very sketchy, interested in any James Merrill that would have been born about this time frame and either he or with his family moved into Hamilton County Ohio before 1838. He did marry Mary Starlin in Harrison, Ohio. Any info apprec.
