Hello, all.

I am trying to determine what, if any connection there is between three Stevenson families who resided in Dekalb for the 1850 census. These are Robert Stevenson b. ca 1818, James Stevenson b. ca 1788 and David Stevenson b. ca 1785. All three men were born in Ireland and seem to have arrived sometime around 1840. Futher informataion from the children of Robert Stevenson indicate that he, at least, was from Northern Ireland.

Additional information:

Robert Stevenson, died in Dekalb 2 December 1893. He was married to Mary McClintock (ca 1823-19 June 1888). His children were

Of these, Elizabeth Stevenson(1845-1910) married Joseph Briggs.

One of the descendents of David Stevenson, Samuel (1848-1924) married Joseph's sister, Delia M Briggs (1853-1932). I am wondering if this is simply a coincidence or if there was a connection between these two Stevenson families.
