rc - don't know if this helps but found this in 1870 US Census Henry, 47, Sarah 42,both born NY; children Mary 17, "Olivia"(?)16, Rebecca, 10, Clara age 1 all born Ohio, who lived in Norwich Twnshp Ohio -Henry reported he was a farrier -NOW- living right next door is Peter Hoover 50, Rebecca 48,& children: Helen 15 & William 5; Peter & Rebecca born NY, children in Ohio; Peter reported he too is a farrier -my bet is that Henry & Peter are brothers -this may be a lead in tracing Henry back in NY -hope this can help, Resp GJM
