Nancy - you may already have but here goes: US Census Yates Cty, Starkey Town shows A. Davenport age male, 47, a fisherman; S. Davenport (Female) age 39; J. A. Davenport age 65(female)(no names spelled out only initials)all born in NY; & JCH Morehead (male), 28, a painter by trade, born in Penna & Marinda Morehead age 17 born in NY -(Husband & wife?) no others (like children) at those addresses -the Moreheads lived next door to the Davenports - they reported their mail was from Pen Yan,NY - -because Starkey is not too far from Watkins Glen perhaps that can explain the Obit you mentioned - have you tried the Schuyler County(NY) web site?
