looking for more info on Mrs. James Morehead (maiden name: Marinda Davenport). She died January 24, 1875, was the daughter of Henry & Julia DENSE Davenport, she actually died in Starkey, Yates County, New York where her parents lived. Her obit says she had 3 children; she died as a result of childbirth complications. I am only aware of her oldest son, Clarence, who was adopted by the WALLING family in Starkey. Maybe she had twins?? Her husband left the oldest son with the Wallings and seems to have disappeared. Census records say he was from Pennsylvania.

Why would her obit be in Schuyler County unless she had extended family there or maybe her husband did??? I find other DAVENPORTS in Schuyler but no MOREHEADS.

Anybody doing research on these families?
