I am also working on the Dillenbach/Tillapaugh family name from New York to Michigan. Our ancestor was Almira Tillapaugh who married Lewis Brown. Some online family trees have her born in MOntgomery Co, New York, and moving to Jefferson Co. where she married Lewis/Louis. NO Proof, however. They came to Michigan about 1846, had a son Sylvester, 8th child, in Isabella County, then they moved to Oakland Co. for the 1850 census, spent time in Clinton Co. where st least 2 children were married,and in 1860 are in Lenawee Co.where Almira is a widow with a 9 month child, #12.First son Henry, second son James, third son Martin Thomas, our gggrandfather. First girl Mary Ann, 2nd Caroline. According to Almira's death record, her parents were Martin (b.1795) and Polly(b.1998) Telepaugh. In 1860 they are in Lenawee Co.under the name Dillepaugh, near Almira. I can't find any record of them in the Dallenbach book. I am trying to piece together any relatives that moved to Michigan because I haven't found anything in New York.
