I am Mike Sanford. I live in Eagan MN and am a direct descendant of Soton and Esther (Mitchell)Sanford. My family records indicate that Soton died 12/28/1859 near Springwater NY. Soton's father was Elisaph Sanford and his mother was Rebecca Wheeler. Elisaph died 3/3/1870 and is buried in Livingston NY. Elisaph's father was Ezekiel (b 1744; d 1831 in Springwater NY )and his wife was Rebecca Barker Foote Sanford. Elisaph was in the War of 1812 and Ezekiel was in the Revolutionary War with the Conn 8th. We were able to locate Ezekiel's 1818 pension records. The line continuesto Thomas sanford who came to America sometime in the 1630's. My email address is mandmsan@AOL.com if you have questions.
