I found this on Fultonhistory.com using 'john o romer' as the search phrase.


Republican Watchman - Monticello, NY - October 5, 1895.


The date itself is not on the top of the newspaper page but in checking four pages before - October 5 1895 was the date of the Death Notice on page 4. The paper was printed on Friday and the notice states Monday *so* counting back he could have died on Monday September 30, 1895.


The image is attached - here is the text which shows the children you have listed. Chauncey is NOT listed as a survivor (Neither is wife Cornelia).

OBITUARY,
John O. Romer died of heart disease,
Monday at the residence of his daughter,
Mrs. Charles S. Miller, at Bloomingburgh.
His age was sixty-one
years and seventeen days. Mr. Rom-
er was born in the town of Thompson,
Sullivan county. He resided tn Burlingham
until twenty-four years ago,
when he removed to Bloomingburgh.
For the past two years he has made,
his home with his son. Mr. Frank T.
Romer, of Mlddletown. Mr. Romer
is survived by three children, Mary
E., wife of Charles S. Miller and Geo.
B. of Bloomingburgh, and Frank T.
Rome of Middletown.
