Omitted from this list is ST PETER'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Rosendale, Ulster County. This church served a huge population of Irish immigrants who came in the 1840's and 1850's, worked building the D & H Canal, owned or worked on barges traversing the Canal, and labored in the cement plants or lime kilns in Rosendale.
St. Peters church records are not in good shape and are not available to the public. However, over last 35 yrs I've written to 3 different priests there and have received valuable information on my mother's Irish-American family and related families. The church was founded sometime before March, 1861 when the church recorded the first baptism in one of my families. The cemetery has many graves, most inscribed with names & dates.
There is a website for St Peter's that will tell you more about date of founding, hours, phone number.
