I gave you a misleading impression. I was quoting from "Record of the Bartholomew Family", 1885, which says,"Clarinda, b. 4 June, 1815; m. 9 Jan 1834, Levi H. McCullou; d. 12 July, 1847, on a journey from Council Bluffs to Salt Lake, Utah." I have been to the Mormon Cemetery at Florence, NE and to the temporary Center. I believe that it is completed by now. I will have something to look for next time I go. My aunts told the "story" of 2 Bartholomew families (one of them mine), travelling west together from New York, then having a "falling out" and never hearing from the other one again. My gr-gr-grandparents, Amos Adams Bartholomew and Phoebe Pound, and my Gr-grandmother, Sarah who married William Alger Wakefield all stopped at Jackson or Coldwater, MI, then Iowa later on.. Very interesting!!
