In March 1997, I posted inquiries regarding actress ROSE MELVILLE and her husband FRANK MINZEY, who resided on the east shore of Lake George until the late 1940s in an estate referred to as "Highwood." Rose was the original SIS HOPKINS on the vaudeville stage. In the earlier inquiries, I inaccurately asserted that she made only one film. I have since discovered that she appeared in at least 19 one-reelers. For several years a SIS HOPKINS Magazine was published. I am still interested in learning more about Rose, whose given name was ROSA SMOCK, her husband and the estate known as Highwood.
