I received a copy of the claim for payment for equipment and clothing provided in service of the NY Militia during the War of 1812 for my wife's ancestor Joel Downs. I thought I would share it with the rootsweb message board folks just in case someone was:
1. Working on the Downs family and we could connect;
2. Working on the 1812 period of Washington County History and could help me affirm the regimental activities noted below.
Thanks in advance. This is my wife's line.
