My family was quite active in the I.O.G.T. (International Order of Good Templars) Lodge that was in Glenora in the 1880s and 1890s. It was a temperance organization that also had lodges in Dundee, Starkey Seminary, Himrods, Penn Yan, Bellona, Dresden, and Italy Hollow. I've assembled quite a bit of information on the Glenora lodge, which is now on file at the Oliver House in Penn Yan. I was wondering if anyone else might have some information from any of Yates County's lodges?....or maybe a family member's involvement?
