I am looking to see if there is a possible link between my family and yours. My G-G-Grandmother was a Mary Ellen Gappins (Gappens).B:13 March 1853 D: 21 February 1920.Her death certificate states she was born in Alamance Co. Her father was only listed by the last name and Mother unknown. There is a question of her being adopted but there is no one alive that knows of any information. She later married John Henry Holt.
