Yes I am very interested. My family is of German descent (which I have been told, however cannot prove at this point).
So far, I have traced 5 generations and hit a brick wall with my GGGrandfather Dolph Holt. He married Mariah Morton on 9-11-1856 according to the marriage bond. I cannot find out his birthday, or hers and I need this information to fill in our family tree.
Was told they lived in Person county, NC. But where did they originate? Did they move often? I may be looking in the wrong counties if this is so.
My Dad said his family came from the Roxboro (N.C.) areas maybe Caswell county, then part known as Orange county.
Now it is Alamance county.
