Researching the family of William P Taylor born Nov. 26, 1819 in Taylorsville, NC. Ashe Co. married Elizabeth (Bettie or Betsy)Daugherty also born Taylorsville. They Moved to the Yuma Community of Scott Co VA in 1846 where they had 8 children. One being my great grandfather John Harrison Taylor. Williams father Jonathan may have returned to NC shortly after the 1846 date and died in route.
Williams brother Isaac also came to VA because they both served in the civil war fighting for VA
