Bob:
Thanks for the information. I did talk to Dorris, Dad's sister. She helped some, but didn't have much information. After that I went & talked to some Boman's in Lenoir. The Bowman's are Henry's step family. The ones I talked to thought Henry was really a Boman, born out of wedlock. I didn't believe that because of other things I had heard, so I went to Lenoir courthouse. I wanted to ask about his delayed birth certificate. While I was there I checked his marriage application. Henry & his step father George Bowman was present when he filed the application for marriage, & George signed as a wittness. They have Henry's father listed as CM Clark. That is as far as I have went. If I find any more information, I will let you know. I know that Uncle Dallas was trying to find out who Henry's father was also. I guess that no one thought of going to the court house, because that has been on record since March 1911. I am planning on going back to Lenoir courthouse & Avery county to try to find out some more information on who CM Clark was. If you find anything, please let me know. My e-mail address is

Thanks,
