In response to your search for a JANE CARRAWAY and a WILLIAM THOMAS CARRAWAY in Bertie County, NC. There is a JANE CARRAWAY born about 1765 the daughter of JOHN CARRAWAY (1707-1789) and MARGARET STEWART (b 1730). This JOHN CARRAWAY was the son of THOMAS CARRAWAY (1689-1769) and MARY Unknown. THOMAS CARRAWAY was the son of JOHN CARRAWAY II (1652-1728). THOMAS CARRAWAY'S brother was JOHN CARRAWAY III who had a son named JOHN CARRAWAY IV. (one of my ancestors).Descending from JOHN CARRAWAY IV are BEDREADON/ WILLIAM C./ ARCHABALD/ and WILLIAM T. CARRAWAY born about 1795 who married a NANCY Unknown. The Carraway family was from Princess Anne County, Va. JOHN CARRAWAY IV, his son HENRY and daughter EIZABETH wife of CApt. AARON SMITH migrated to Craven Co. NC and later about 1750 moved up the Neuse to Johnson Co., NC. Capt AARON moved on to SC. Some of his descendant moved to Ga. and then Ala. Sorry that I have no record of any KING/CARRAWAY marriage or if WILLIAM T. CARRAWAY had any children. The JANE CARRAWAY born abt 1765 could have married in the 1780's. She could be the Jane you are looking for. Lots of luck.
