YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Funeral services will be at noon on Friday at the F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home for Mrs. Louise Reynolds, 99, who departed this life Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Maplecrest Nursing Home.
Mrs. Reynolds was born Aug. 27, 1914, Windsor, N.C., a daughter of Willie T. and Bessie A. Carter Barnes.
She was head chef at Neil’s Restaurant. She was a member and mother of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Mrs. Reynolds leaves her children, Charlie (Alice) Stewart of Windsor, N.C., Mattie Smith, Della Stanford, James (Brenda) Stewart, Irene White, Milton (Yvonne) Stewart, and a son-in-law, Earl Grandy, all of Youngstown, OH; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, John H. Reynolds, whom she married May 26, 1982, died Nov. 26, 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Mary L. Grandy; and siblings, Whittie Rascoe, Clara Smallwood, Annie Green, Carrie Barnes, and Albert Barnes.
