John Hubbard Hall was my 5th G Grandfather. He was born in
Wallingford Conn. His father was Samuel Hall (Sgt) was a
vet of the Revolutionary War. THis is Documented through
Sons of the Revolutionary War. Check out their web site.
THere were TWO John Halls, who were original settlers, ours
was the first settler, who came from Boston to help settle
Conn as a colony. He came around the time of John Hooker, and other Puritans, who also left Boston, to worship a more
strengent religion. Suggest you look on line for, John Hall
of Wallingford, Conn, by James Shepard, this gives the
correct info for our John Hall. My 4th G Grandfather, was
first son of John Hubbard Hall, Luther, Luke Hall, who I am
also having problems with, in connecting him to John Hubbard
Hall, but plenty of books that say he is the eldest son.
John Hubbard Hall was a silversmith prior to coming to NC,
in Conneticuit, in partnership with others. I have just
bought a silver spoon from E bay, with the mark of Hall and
other on it. Please contact me perhaps we can help
each other,
Sincerely,

Patricia Ann Hinson Mordes
