Thanks Theresa.

My 3rd grandmother was Teresa or Theresa or Clarissa Johnston Bailey married to Bryan(t)Bailey. She was born 1808, probably in Ga.and that is about all I know about her other than that a Frances Johnston was living with her and Bryan in the 1850 Randolph County, Ga. and the 1860 Winn Parish, La. census.

My oldest known Bailey ancestor is Philip b. 1760-1769 according to the 1830 Houston County, Ga. census which is the only census he appears on.

There are 5 Philip Baileys in the 1790 Virginia census, none of which I can tell migrated to Ga. What a mess.

I know Philip probably was in NC because his daughter lovecey (spelled several ways) was born there ca. 1791 and I can find Philip Baileys in NC, but no way to connect them to my Phillip.

I appreciate your response and good luck.
