I just found this post today, I've started doing more work on my Chambers line which is tied to this Moody line. If you don't have you're answers yet here they are:
John Moody b.1771-1773 Granville Co, NC d. October 1838 Jonathan Creek, Haywood, NC. Married July 28, 1796 Washington, VA Elizabeth Laird b. 1776-1779 Washington, VA d. abt 1760 Cherokee Co, NC parents: John Laird Lettitia Kerr.
John and Elizabeth had the following children:
Jesse Hollingsworth Moody b. 10/1/1797 Washington VA. d. 10/5/1882 Haywood co, NC
Thomas Moody b. abt 1799 Greenville, SC d. unknown
Reuben Moody b. 8/11/1801 Greenville, SC d. 8/17/1891 Haywood, NC
Mary "Polly" Moody b. 8/11/1800 SC, d. unknown
James Moody b abt 1806 SC d. unknown
Elizabeth Moody b. abt. 1807 Jonathan Creek, Buncombe, NC
d. aft 1880 Carroll County, Ga. Buried Concord Methodist Church, Carroll County, Ga (My G.G. Grandmother)
Martha Moody b. Jonathan Creek, Buncombe, NC
Hiriam Moody b. Jonathan Creek, Buncombe, NC
Joseph Carroll Moody b. Jonaathan Creek, Buncombe, NC
John Harrison Moody b. 10/12/1813 Jonathan Creek, Haywood, NC d. 6/7/1870 unknown.
Felix Walker Moody b. abt 1820 Jonathan Creek, Haywood, NC d. unknown.
Lucinda Emiline Moody b. Abt. 1823 Jonathan Creek, Haywood, NC. d. unknown.
Buncombe County split and part became Haywood County.
Hiriam, Joseph, John Harrison, and Felix all moved to Texas.
